HISTORY OF THE GUEST HOUSE
The DELTA BOHEMIAN GUEST HOUSE, a former two story Delta cypress cook’s house, is ideally located in the heart of old, residential Clarksdale, just three blocks from downtown and the Sunflower River.
The property was built in 1917 by a Delta planter and was extensively restored in 2012 by the Howells, founders of the DELTA BOHEMIAN with the help of fellow native Deltan, friend, and interior designer Marilyn Trainor Storey, principal designer of Jackson, Mississippi’s Per Design Studio and design blogger MS Design Maven.

Using an earthy, updated rustic, and bohemian style to infuse the house with warmth and a real sense of the old Mississippi Delta, the Howells and Storey have created a one-of-a-kind lodging destination for the traveler interested in the Blues and Delta culture. Search no longer for that perfect combination of authentic Delta, sophistication,  comfort, and attention to detail.
